By default if you freshly install a new Zebra printer on a print server. The settings on it will always be overridden if a user prints from an application to the printer.
For example through Word.
To combat this, you need to make sure the printer always prioritizes the print settings on the printer itself.
On the print server, go to the Printer preferences of the printer and go to the Advanced Settings tab and put a checkmark on Use Printer Settings
