This is a weird glitch in Wireguard that mostly seems to occur when Wireguard has been improperly shutdown or shutdown during the connecting fase. It only seems to happen on Windows devices as well.
To fix this, do the following
Microsoft in the latest versions of Windows 10 (21H1 and up I believe) are now hellbent in making sure you make a Microsoft account to use the OS. They got rid of the option to create a local account once it detects an internet connection.
When trying to live migrate VM's and you encounter this error, it means that the hostname of the ESXI host could not be resolved properly.
This can be because the DNS server is unreachable/offline or you recently changed DNS servers and the ESXI host doesn't know it yet.
