After many years I've decided to move from Domoticz to Home Assistant. Domoticz at some point began to look "lackluster" and while there are still updates being released, support and integration is getting harder and harder in my opinion having to write scripts myself to integrate things which takes time.

Home assistant seems to have moved in such a fast pace that most of the things I want integrated already exists and makes it pretty easy to do so.

Not many people tend to use IIS Reverse proxy, maybe due to Windows licensing or it's just that NGINX or HAProxy or any linux based ones are way more popular.
Nonetheless, I'm using HA with a IIS Proxy in front it and after some investigating and reading other configurations, I found out soon enough that HA uses websockets.
Without configuring this, you might not get any further than the login screen telling you the credentials are wrong even though you are 1000% sure they are correct.

The moment you decide to update and it all goes wrong, you have to do a fresh install of domoticz and restore your backup into it. However once a new version is out, Domoticz doesn't give you a way to download the previous version. You have to compile it yourself which is to me extremely annoying and time consuming.

This is why I decided to archive the older versions just in case.

I have this simple use case many other people probally have too. I wanted to change/dim the lights in the living room based on the fact if the tv is on and what i'm watching.
I found out that people had made libraries to control and get the status of your LG TV using python. This of course makes it super easy to integrate this with your domoticz system.

I'm aware there is a plugin for Domoticz, but I don't need over half the features it has.
